Every year Brack will invite selected artists to come to Singapore, in the crossroads of Asia, to devote a specific period of time to a socially engaged project. This is the first time we are partnering internationally with Nau Côclea Centre for Contemporary Creation in Camallera, Girona Catalonia, Spain, and Unseen Art Ltd..

Brack is excited to announce that we have selected the artist for our November-December 2016 Residency. Núria Iclèsies was chosen from a large pool of talented artists. Núria is a multidisciplinary artist whose works investigate the body as a channel. Her residency will begin in November 2015 as she embarks on a community project This is Home.

We hope you will join us to hear Núria’s community talks throughout her residency and join us for an opening reception of Nina’s show in December. We’re looking forward to her arrival in November with great anticipation!

About Brack Residency Program
Brack’s Artist in Residence Program emphasises engagement with local community and is an opportunity for artists to develop ideas and focus on their artistic discipline while interacting with diverse participants and audiences in different settings. Outcomes are open-ended, but must include a public engagement process component and the creation of artwork (site specific or otherwise) for exhibition.
