Drama Box is a non-profit contemporary theatre company with charity status. It has gained a respectable reputation since its formation in 1990 for presenting works that raise social awareness and inculcate civic responsibility amongst Singaporeans.
Their works engage dialogically with the people and their socio-political conditions. They want their audience to be stimulated by the aesthetic experience, provoked to think about the issues presented, and participate actively in our works as “Spect-Actors” or “Creators”.
In 2015, they debuted GoLi – The Moving Theatre, a travelling theatre activating local community spaces such as basketball courts and parks into iconic and vibrant places for arts and culture.
